Our graduate student Yoel Sitbon successfully passed his Qualifying Exam on 01/25/2018 untitled: “Effect of Mutations in Myosin Essential Light Chains (ELC) on the Development of Pathological vs. Physiological Cardiac Hypertrophy”. More specifically, his project will be based on the two following aims:
Specific aim 1: Morphological and contractile phenotypes and myosin motor function in heart models of physiologic vs pathologic hypertrophy
Specific aim 2: Determine mitochondrial energy production players in the hearts of physiologic vs pathologic cardiac hypertrophy
